Batteries

The example shows how to set the clock for 16:25 (4:25 p.m.).

Press [SET].
@ Press [TUNING (v or ~)] to set the time.
The time display can ba changed in one minute units by tapping
the buttons, and quickly by holding down the buttons.
@ Press [SET].
The time Is set and the original display is restored.
Displaying the clock
Press [CLOCK/TIMER].
The clock is shown for about 5 seconds.
Reset the clock regularly to maintain accuracy.

Remote control only
Change the setting to suit the aspect ratio of your television.
The menu language fs set to English, but you can change it to
other languages (™ page 25, Display—-Menu Language). English is
used in the examples.
Preparation
Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input on the televi-
sion to suit the connections for the player.

"16:9 software prohibited from being shown in the pan and scan stylo
will appear in the letterbox style despite the setting here.

Press [RETURN] to end the settings.

For your reference
DVDs are recorded in a variety of aspect ratios. You can change the way
software is shown on a regular television (4:3) with the above operation. If
you have a widescreen television (16:9), use the television's picture
modes.
