Responding To Error Messages - Kyocera ECOSYS FS-2100D Operation Manual

Additional Authentication Setting
This sets whether or not to select an additional
authentication method after using an ID card. When set to
Use Password or Use PIN, the Login Password or PIN
entry screen is displayed after the ID card is authenticated.
Follow the steps below.
1 Repeat steps 1 to 7 of Key Login Setting.
2 Press or to select Additional Auth..
3 Press [OK]. Additional Auth. screen appears.
4 Press or to select Off, Use Password or Use
PIN.
5 Press [OK].
NOTE: When Use PIN is selected in this setting, even if
the PIN Login is set to Off, you can enter the PIN for
additional authentication.

Responding to Error Messages

If the panel displays any of these message, follow the
corresponding procedure.
Error Message
Cannot recognize the ID
card.
Cannot recognize.
Corrective Actions
Make sure the USB connector of the ID
card reader is correctly connected to
the machine.
If USB Host is set to Block, change
the setting to Unblock.
Make sure your ID card has been
registered.
When Password Login is set to On,
check whether the password is correct
or not.
