READ CONTROL REGISTER
This instruction supplies seek complete, seek incomplete, or device operation statistic.:s
to the EUS, and can be addres8ed to any legal device.
If the instruction is" addressed to the
control (device zero), two 36-bit words are transferred to the EUS. The "format
for each word, depending on the subsystem configuration, is shown in Figure Z-14.

Device not available; busy positioning.
Device not available: seek incomplete, standby,
offline, or attention.
This instruction supplies the control status or the device status to the EUS.
RELEASE
This instruction releases a reserved device to the given logical channel.
