TAPE
MONITOR
USING
STEREO
HEADPHONES
Stereo headphones
can be plugged
into the front panel jack.
The signal from this jack is independent of the speakers.

Plug stereo headphones into the PHONES jack.
For private listening, set both SPEAKERS switches to their
"out" position ( ML).
To listen through headphones, while at the same time listen-
ing to speaker sound, select the required speaker system as
well,

To record from disc sources onto a TAPE-1
or TAPE-2 tape
deck

Connect a tape deck to the TAPE-1
or TAPE-2
REC ter-
minals.
Press the POWER switch in ( =).

indicator does not light.
. Set the MC/MM select switch as required.

Operate the turntable.
Operate the tape deck for recording.
To record from other sources (TUNER, AUX)
Press the TUNER
switch in (-=) to record radio broadcasts.
Press the AUX switch in (= ) to record the source connected
to the AUX
terminals. All other operations are identical to
when recording from disc sources.
Notes:
@
You
can
also monitor
with headphones the sound being
recorded.
@ The sound you hear from the speakers or headphones is the
source sound, not that being recorded on the tape.
@
If you have a three-head tape deck with independent record
and play heads, you can monitor the recorded sound while
recording.
For this purpose:
(Tt) Press the TAPE MONITOR
switch
in (-= ).
(2) When you are recording with the tape deck connected
to TAPE-1
terminals,
leave the TAPE
switch
in its
"out'' position
(5).
When recording with the tape
deck connected to TAPE-2 terminals, press the TAPE
switch in (=).
@ The VOLUME
control of this amplifier has no effect on the
recording level. Adjust the recording level with the controls
on the tape deck.
@ The
TAPE-1
terminals
and
DIN
socket
are
in parallel,
These cannot be used at the same time.
