Cause and remedial action
● ● Are you shooting in visible light?
 The focusing position differs between visible light conditions and
infrared conditions due to the difference in the index of refraction.
It is assumed with this unit that the infrared light has a wavelength
in the vicinity of 900 mm (35-7/16 inches) when the night mode is
used. Focus manually as required.
● ● Is the model AW-HE60S being used?
 1080/59.94p video signals cannot be used with the model
AW-HE60S. Use the model AW-HE60H instead.
● ● Has "59.94p" been selected as the Format setting?
 Select the Format setting after completing the upgrade.
● ● Operation is problem-free.
 What happens with the PsF (progressive segmented frame)
system is that the same images as the progressive system are
output by recording the same images in field 1 and field 2 so that
the resulting images may appear somewhat jerky.
● ● These are caused by the reflections of the light between the lens
and the cover in front of the lens. Find a way of optimizing the
position of the lighting relative to the position of the unit, and
install and use the unit in a location where the reflections will not
occur.
● ● Activate the ATW (Auto tracking white adjustment) function.
● ● In some situations, the proper colors may not be reproduced
using the ATW function.
 In cases like this, proceed with the white balance adjustment.
● ● Either select the auto setting for the iris or select the manual
setting and adjust the iris manually.
● ● The pictures may be dark if the analog video signal cables are too
long because this will cause signal attenuation.
● ● Is the night mode established?
 In the night mode, the images are output in black and white.
● ● Is the night mode established?
 The auto white balance adjustment (AWB) cannot be used in the
night mode.
● ● In the night mode, the iris is set to open as a measure to prevent
video spying. Adjust the brightness at the light source.
