DSC programming

DSC (Direct Software Control) allows you
to customise certain programmable, basic
settings to suit your personal needs and
preferences and then store them.
The basic settings for this audio equipment
were made at the factory.
In the following you can find an overview of
these settings, so that you can always reset
to these if desired.
If you wish to alter any of the programming,
• press SCA/SRC to select one of the
operating modes radio, cassette or CD
changer (cassette/CD must be insert-
ed).
• press DSC.
Use the rocker switch to select and adjust
the functions described in the following. The
display will show you the adjusted condition.

MIX For changer operation only.
MIX CDC -
CD selection at random.
All titles of this disc will be
chosen in random order as
well.
The next disc is again se-
lected at random.
MIX OFF -
The MIX function is
switched off.
REG REG ON – regional function
ON/OFF
is switched on.
REG OFF – regional func-
tion is switched off.
Refer to "Radio operation
with RDS / REG - regional
programme".
RM (Radio Monitor)
ON/OFF
Allows you to listen to the
radio during fast winding of
the tape.
RM ON – Radio playback
activated.
RM OFF – Function deacti-
vated.
READ KC To read out the KeyCard
data.
The KeyCard supplied with
the radio is used to display
the model name, type
number (7 6..) and the serial
number.
Using the second KeyCard
to be purchased at any spe-
cialised dealership it is pos-
sible to display the Short
Additional Memory (S.A.M.)
data entered by the dealer.
See chapter "Short Addition-
al Memory S.A.M.".
LEARN KC To "train" a second Key-
Card.
Please read the information
in chapter "KeyCard theft
protection system - Training
a second KeyCard".
LED You can choose between
ON/OFF
LED ON or LED OFF. With
LED ON, the KeyCard
tongue will flash for extra
anti-theft protection when
the unit has been switched
off and the KeyCard re-
moved.
