Intended use

The cooler is suitable for cooling food and keeping it cool. It is only suitable for leisure use.

The device can cool down or keep products cool up to approx. 15°C below ambient temperature. It works best when you load it with products which are already pre-cooled.

The device is designed to be operated via a 12 V vehicle power socket (e. g. cigarette lighter).

The appliance may also be used for camping use. The appliance shall not to be exposed to rain.

Safety instructions

General safety

  • The device may not be used if the device itself or the connection cable are visibly damaged.
  • This device may only be repaired by qualified personnel.
  • Persons whose physical sensory or mental capacities prevent them from using this device safely should not operate it without the supervision of a responsible adult.
  • Electrical devices are not toys. Always keep and use the device out of the reach of children.
  • Food may only be stored in its original packaging or in suitable containers.
  • Check that the voltage specification on the type plate corresponds to that of the energy supply.

Operating the device safely

  • Do not place the device near naked flames or other heat sources (heaters, direct sunlight, gas ovens etc.).
  • Make sure that the device is sufficiently far away from walls and other objects so that the air can circulate, and that the air vents are not covered.
  • Do not fill the inner container with ice or fluid.
  • Protect the device and the cable against heat and moisture.

  • Ensure that the objects placed in the cooling device are suitable for cooling to the selected temperature.
  • Ensure that food or liquids in glass containers are not excessively refrigerated. Liquids expand when they freeze and can therefore destroy the glass containers.
  • Ensure that the plug is pushed as far as it will go into the DC power socket, and check regularly that it is firmly connected in the socket. Failure to do so can lead to overheating and malfunction of the cooling device as well as to damage to the DC power socket.
  • Disconnect the cooler or switch it off when you turn off the engine. Otherwise you may discharge the battery.
  • Place the cooler on a firm base.
  • Cooling: Connect the DC connection cable to the cigarette lighter or the DC socket in the vehicle.
  • Switching off the device: Disconnect the plug.

Cleaning and maintenance

warning NOTICE! Risk of damage

  • Never clean the cooler under running water or in dish water.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or hard objects during cleaning as these can damage the cooler.
  • Disconnect the device from the mains.
  • Occasionally clean the device interior and exterior with a damp cloth

Troubleshooting

  • In the case of faults, check:
    • the DC power socket fitting
    • the fuse of the DC plug (fig. 1)
    • the vehicle fuse
