Outline and features

The
SK-HD1300-S1
portable HDTV Studio and EFP camera.
With its new developed 2.6 million pixels 3-MOS
sensor, the SK-HD1300-S1 provides outstanding
performance. The camera offers sharper and

implementation of the latest digital processing
technology. The camera achieves outstanding high
sensitivity and no vertical smear specification.

skewing effect, flicker and etc.) are not clearly
recognizable in standard production use.
Latest generation Digital technology
The brand new, power efficient Digital Signal
Processor LSI provides very faithful video
image reproduction and quality.
Digital video processing and encoding provide
low interference and high stability.
High sensitivity and Signal to Noise ratio
Low-noise circuit technology provides a signal to
noise ratio of 62dB. Even at high gain, clear
images are obtained with little noise.
The standard sensitivity is rated sensitivity is
F11 at 2000 lx.
In addition, the high gain mode can increase the
gain up to +24 dB to reproduce dark images
with a minimum illumination of 2 lx (F1.4).
The new streamlined body design
The new streamlined camera and adaptor body
design has a low center of gravity for ease of use
on the shoulder. The lightweight camera body is
designed
with
sections that are resistant to minor impacts and
provides soundproofing for motorized filter
turrets and cooling fans. So there is no adverse
effect
to camera video signals and the
environment for studio.
Setup card
A small plug-in setup card (SD card) stores the
user setup and Scene File information.
Digital processing improves Image Highlight
Quality
Real-time Lens Aberration Correction ( RLAC ):
Lens chromatic aberration of magnification is
reduced by digital processing with supporting
lenses.
Knee saturation and auto-knee:
The auto knee provides a wide dynamic range
by dynamically compressing the video level
above 100%.
Knee saturation restores color saturation to
scene highlights above 100%.

HDR (High Dynamic Range):
HDR reproduces the high contrast picture which
a conventional TV camera could not provide in a
highlight scene by combination with a HDR
monitor.
Black Gamma:
Hitachi's
Black Gamma function can control Initial
Gamma gain more finely than conventional
Black Stretch. Independent Initial Gamma
controls are provided for the Red, Green and
Blue channels providing a fine granularity
control over dark color.
12-Vector and Linear Matrix masking:
The 12-vector and linear matrix provide the
user a wide latitude in subject image color
control. The 6-axis linear matrix provides
overall color control and the 12-vector color
corrector provides independent control of the
hue and saturation for each of the three primary
and the three secondary colors.
Preset Masking:
Color
matrix can be changed to several
broadcast camera standards.
Skin tone masking:
Skin tone masking provides "fine" "Painting"
(hue and saturation) of Skin tones without
affecting other colors in the scene.
Auto Chroma:
Auto
over-standard colors in the image caused by
extremely bright and colorful objects such as
emergency vehicle lights or stage lighting
L.E.D's.
New 3ch skin tone detail:
New Skin tone Detail functions allow a
flesh-color based softening of the image to
achieve
on-camera personalities.
Three individual channels exist as well as a
function to automatically detect the hue,
saturation and luminance of the Skin tone to be
affected.
Furthermore, the Skin tone Detail level can be
adjusted to follow the lens' zoom to avoid
'rubber faces' in wide angle shots while using
the function.
Gray Scale Automatic Setup:
This "through the lens" automatic setup is uses
a standard gray scale chart to automatically
setup gain, gamma, black and flare thus saving
the video operator time and effort.
Automatic White Shading:
Automatic white shading corrects white vertical
and horizontal shading at the push of a button.
This function provides separate memory of lens'
modulation shading characteristics to optimize
the X1 and X2 lens extender positions.
