When Not Use for a Long Period How to Drain Water from the Main Body Drain the water using the procedure below. CAUTION After using hot water, the water within the unit is extremely hot. Wait until the water cools sufficiently before performing inspection. Caution: High To prevent scalding Temperature Close the gas valve. Press the ON/OFF button on remote control to turn on water heater. After waiting at least 10 seconds, press the ON/OFF button to turn off water heater. Close the main water inlet. Fully open the hot water tap. Hot water tap Turn the water drain plug to the left to open it. Confirm that all water has been drained out through the water drainage outlet, then turn the water drain plug to the right to close it. Do not alter anything until you reuse the appliance.
