PROTECTION AGAINST JET FORCE Check the function of the chain brake before each use by switching on the saw and at maximum engine speed after 1-2 seconds push the safety brake forward. The chain should stop immediately when the engine is running at full speed. If the chain stops too slowly or does not stop at all, replace the brake band and clutch drum before using the saw.
  • Page 23 AIR FILTER CLEANING A dirty air filter increases fuel consumption and reduces the efficiency of an internal combustion engine. The air filter should be cleaned as needed, at least every 5 hours of operation of the saw. Sawdust on the filter surface can be removed with a brush. To clean the filter from the inside, use compressed air.

The idle speed can be adjusted by using the marked screw 1 (Fig. 25). By turning the screw counterclockwise the rotation decreases, by turning the screw clockwise we increase the rotation. To set the speed, turn the idle adjustment screw slowly clockwise until the chain begins to rotate, and then turn the screw counterclockwise until the chain stops moving.
