Introduction Intended use The battery replacement kit is intended only for those Neat products that allow bat- tery replacement. Please contact your sales office for further information. This handbook Information notes and warnings intended for maintenance personnel and/or users are emphasized in these instructions by the pictograms defined here. The Information sign and corresponding text is intended for information which might be useful, but not critical for the reader and/or user.
Hardware General The battery replacement kit contains a Lithium CR2430 battery, a top shell (color depending on product) and an O-ring. Other parts pictured in this manual are bottom shell and over molded PCB. Pictured in this manual is a neutral colored top shell and bottom shell, not an actual product.
Remove the battery Remove the battery. Dispose of the battery according to the local instructions for recycling, see section “Eliminación”. Remove the O-ring Use a thin flathead screwdriver to remove the O-ring. Be careful not to damage the O-ring groove. Discard the O-ring! SMILE - Battery replacement instruction NE41 19010-02 v1.1...
Unit assembly with new battery Insert new battery Put the new battery in the battery holder. Check the battery polarity and position the battery accordingly. Make sure that the positive polarity of the battery is mounted upwards. Mount new O-ring Place the new O-ring in the groove.
PCB and bottom shell assembly Place the circuit board into the bottom shell as pictured. Use position of data matrix label as reference for how to turn the circuit board. Make sure that the transmitter and circuit board are rotated as shown in the picture. Finally push downwards on both sides.
Top shell assembly Assemble the Bottom shell with the circuit board in a new Top shell by first placing one of the edges with the snaps in the top shell Press them together until they snap into position on both sides. NE41 19010-02 v1.1 SMILE - Battery replacement instruction...
