OIL CHECK
Always check the oil when the engine is cold. If the engine is hot when the oil is
checked, the level will appear to be overfull. Access the oil check dipstick
through the right rear wheel well. Perform the oil fill procedure through the
dipstick tube with the funnel included in the tool kit.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface.
2. Place the transmission in PARK.
3. Remove the right-hand rear fender by unlocking the quarter-turn latch
unhooking the two straps
4. Remove the dipstick. Wipe it dry with a clean cloth.
5. Reinstall the dipstick completely. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level.
OIL AND FILTER CHANGE
Always change the oil and filter at the intervals outlined in the Periodic
Maintenance Chart. Always change the oil filter whenever changing oil.
Access the oil check dipstick through the right rear wheel well. Perform oil fill
procedure via the dipstick tube, using the funnel included in the tool kit.
The crankcase drain plug is located on the bottom of the crankcase. Access the
drain plug through the access hole under the crankcase.
1. Position the vehicle on a level surface. Place the transmission in PARK.
2. Clean the area around the crankcase drain plug.
Hot oil can cause burns to skin. Do not allow hot oil to contact skin.
3. Place a drain pan under the engine crankcase and remove the drain plug.
Allow the oil to drain completely.
