Cut from left to right to avoid the cut grass dropping
in the area you wish to trim. Pay attention in order
to avoid bumping the head against rocks or the soil.
Blows against objects and soil will reduce the quality
of the head, and can create a hazardous environment
for you and the people in the work environment.
Nylon threads are shortened with use; when they are
too short, rev the engine and press the head against
the ground. This will produce a little more thread. If
you pull out too much thread the protector blade can
cut the excess.
Remember that the end of the nylon cord is what cuts.
You will get a better result if you don't apply the whole
head at once in the area being trimmed. Insert head
slowly and let the nylon tips trim the grass at a safe
pace.
Positions of the front protector:
- Position 1: for normal working use.
- Position 2: for trimming with 180º engine turn.
