Settings : Network and internet
Hotspot: Manage security
If you're getting a warning about weak security for your hotspot,
secure your hotspot by selecting a protocol:
1.
Go to
Settings
> Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering > Wi-Fi hotspot.
2.
Touch Security.
3.
Adjust settings:
WP3 is the most secure choice.
Choose WPA2/WPA3 for newer devices (made after July 2020). Older devices may not be able to
connect to a WPA3 or WPA2/WPA3 mixed network.
Choose WPA2 (AES) for the widest compatibility with both current and older devices.
Don't use None for this setting.
USB tethering
To connect a device to the internet using your phone's cellular data and a USB cable:
1.
Check that
cellular data is
share.
2.
Connect
your phone to your computer with a USB cable.
3.
On your phone, go to Settings.
4.
Touch Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering.
5.
Turn on USB tethering to start the connection.
You'll see
in your notifications.
To stop the connection, touch the notification and turn off USB tethering, then disconnect your phone and
computer.
Bluetooth tethering
To connect a device to the internet using your phone's cellular data and a Bluetooth connection:
1.
Check that
cellular data is

2.
Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and

On your phone, go to Settings.

Touch Network & internet > Hotspot & tethering.
