The Miele Waterproof System
Provided your dishwasher has been in-
stalled correctly, the Miele Waterproof
System will protect you from water
damage.
Water inlet
Risk to health due to wash water.
Water in the dishwasher must not be
used as drinking water.
Do not drink any water from the dish-
washer.
Risk to health and risk of dam-
age due to contaminated incoming
water.
The quality of the incoming water
must correspond to the drinking wa-
ter regulations of the country in
which the dishwasher is being oper-
ated.
Connect the dishwasher to a drinking
water supply.
The dishwasher may be connected to
cold or hot water (up to max.
140°F/60°C) supplies.
It is recommended to connect to a cold
water supply to reduce energy con-
sumption.
If energy-saving water-heating sources,
such as solar energy circulation sys-
tems, are used, it is recommended to
connect to the hot water. This saves
both time and electrical energy costs.
Hot water is used in all programs.
The water inlet hose is approximately
5 ft (1.5 m) long. A 5 ft (1.5 m) long, flex-
ible metal extension hose (tested to
2,030 psi (14,000 kPa) is available as an
optional accessory from Miele dealers
or Miele Customer Service.
