Check the error code on the printer's LCD and take the corresponding action described below.

Cause
Printer is out of paper.
Printing of the first side is complete when do-
ing manual duplex printing.
Cover is opened during printing.
Paper is jammed when feeding paper from
rear tray.
FINE cartridge is not installed.
Ink cartridge cannot be recognized.
Action
• • If the printer is out of paper:
• • If you are performing manual duplex print-
ing:
Prepare to print the other side following
the instructions on the computer screen.
• If the cover is open: •
• If paper is jammed: •

Check the following.
• if the color FINE cartridge is installed on
the left side properly
• if the black FINE cartridge is installed on
the right side properly
• Model number of each FINE cartridge
If the above does not resolve the problem, re-
place the FINE cartridge with a new one.
