Robot does not start charging
when placed on the Energy
Station. (Enters Pause mode)
When a button is pressed, the
battery level indicator on the
Energy Station LCD display
flashes.
The battery level indicator is
not shown on the LCD
display.
All three segments of the
battery level indicator
(
) on the LCD display
are flashing simultaneously.
The AIBO robot does not go
into Clinic mode.

• Cause c Remedy (see page)
• There is a problem with the connection between the Energy
Station and the AC adapter, or between the AC adapter and the
AC outlet.
c Make sure that all connections are correctly established
(page 32).
• The AIBO robot is not correctly positioned on the Energy
Station.
c Press the button again after correctly positioning the AIBO
robot on the Energy Station (page 32).
• No battery is inserted in the AIBO robot.
c Insert the battery before placing the AIBO robot on the
Energy Station.
• Charging could not be carried out correctly.
c Check to see if the battery is inserted correctly into the
AIBO robot. If the flashing continues even though the
battery is inserted correctly, contact the AIBO Customer
Link (for customer support).
• There is a problem with the front (blue) or rear (red) sensor on
the back of the AIBO robot.
c Check the touch sensors on the AIBO robot's back in the
AIBO robot Operation Check mode.

Remove the "Memory Stick™" media from the AIBO
robot and press the pause button to start the AIBO robot.
The AIBO robot goes into Operation Check mode. (In
this condition, the mode indicators flash yellow.)

The AIBO robot repeats the "Stand up" t "Sit down"
t "Lay down" routine. While the routine is in progress,
simultaneously touch the front (blue) and rear (red) back
sensors for 3 seconds.
The face and back lights should turn ON, and a sound should be
heard.
If the above response is observed, the touch sensors on the AIBO
robot's back are functioning normally. The "Memory Stick"
media may be defective.
If the above response is not observed, one or more of the touch
sensors on the AIBO robot's back may be defective. Contact the
AIBO Customer Link (for customer support).
