Getting started

To start out, you will need the AIBO
The supplied battery is delivered with minimal charge. Before you begin playing with the
AIBO robot, you must fully charge the battery. See page 51 for detailed instructions on
charging the battery.
First insert the battery and AIBO MIND 2 software "Memory Stick
robot and set up the Energy Station. Charge the battery.

Preparing the AIBO robot

Insert the battery and AIBO MIND 2 software "Memory Stick" media into the AIBO robot.

Securely hold the body of the AIBO robot from above, turn it upside down,
and open the stomach compartment cover.
Caution
• Always lift the AIBO robot by its body, not by its extremities.
• Do not touch the charging contacts located on the AIBO robot with your hand. Touching the contacts
will reduce contact quality.

Take out the AIBO MIND 2 software "Memory Stick" media from its
plastic case.
