Definitions: Safety Alert Symbols and Words
This instruction manual uses the following safety alert symbols and words to alert you to hazardous situations and your risk
of personal injury or property damage.

DANGER: Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.

WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.

CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.

(Used without word) Indicates a safety related message.
NOTICE: Indicates a practice not related to personal injury which, if not avoided, may result in property damage.

WARNING! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
TO TIGHTEN RATCHET STRAPS
1. With ratchet closed, thread webbing from the center
spool through the ratchet reel.
2. Pull webbing through, removing the slack.
3. Release the ratchet by lifting the release bar. To tighten,
raise and lower ratchet handle; do not overtighten.
(Make sure to have a minimum of 2 full wraps of
webbing around the reel.)
4. Keep ratchet in closed position to lock.
TO RELEASE RATCHET STRAPS
1. To unlock, pull the release bar until the ratchet is
completely flat and open
2. Grab webbing and pull to release.

WARNING:
Safety glasses to be worn at all times of use.
Before use, make sure all straps are free of damage and
properly threaded/tightened.
DO NOT use strap that has fraying, wear, broken or worn
stitching, tears, cuts or defective hardware. If the strap is
damaged DO NOT use it. Contact BCS for a replacement.

Make sure to pull the strap long enough to securely
wrap around the cargo load. DO NOT exceed the
working load limit of the strap; taking into account
the strap, the load, the vehicle anchor points, strap
configuration and angle, etc
These straps are intended to secure loads to surfaces.
They should NEVER be used to lift, hoist or tow objects..
DO NOT over-tighten straps.
NEVER stand in direct path of a tension loaded strap.
Protect strap from damage. ALWAYS protect straps in
contact with edges, corners, protrusions, or abrasive
surfaces with materials of sufficient strength, thickness
and construction to prevent damage.
Maintain and store straps properly. Straps should
be protected from mechanical, chemical and
environmental damage.
Manufacturer is not liable for accidents caused by
material deterioration or improper use.
