monitor which will cause the alarm to
chirp and at the same time the red LED
flashes approx. every 32 seconds for
a minimum of 30 days when the bat-
tery voltage gets low. Replace the battery
when this condition occurs.
IMPORTANT: Do not attempt to remove
the cover to clean inside.
Do not attempt to repair the alarm. If the
alarm is no longer working, replace it im-
mediately with a comparable alarm.
Replace Battery
1. Turn the alarm body counter clock-
wise and take out the alarm body from
the bracket.
2. Take out the old battery and connect
the new battery to power connector.
3. Fix the battery into battery compart-
ment, fit alarm body to bracket and turn
the alarm body clockwise.
4. Test smoke alarm via test button. The
sound pattern is 3 short beeps, pause 1.5
seconds and then repeat it. If there's no
sound output, the smoke alarm may be
fault or the installation is made wrong.
NOTE: The bracket can't be matched to
the unit without battery. DO NOT take out
the battery unless you'll replace the bat-
tery immediately.

Problem
Smoke alarm does not give a sound
when testing
NOTE: Push test button for at least 5
seconds while testing.
The alarm chirps with red light
flashing once every 32 seconds.

Smoke alarm sounds unwanted
alarms intermittently or when re-
sidents are cooking, taking sho-
wers, etc.

Method of Disposal
Remove smoke alarm from brac-
ket and check the battery is properly
connected to the battery connector.
Replace the battery.
The battery power is low. Replace
the battery.
Clean smoke alarm like instruct-
ed in the Maintenance and Clea-
ning section.
Clean smoke alarm like instruct-
ed in the Maintenance and Clea-

Move smoke alarm to a new location
and press test button.
Clean smoke alarm like instruct-
ed in the Maintenance and Clea-
ning section.
Change a new smoke alarm if the
problem still exists.
