4. START UP INSTRUCTIONS
4.1. LIST OF MATERIALS
The machine includes the following elements that you
will find in the box:
• Accessory
• Protector
• Instruction manual
Remove carefully all the elements from the box and
make sure that all listed parts are included.
Check all the elements of the machine to ensure
that there are no damaged elements. If you find any
damaged part or there are any elements missing,
do not use the machine until the problem has been
solved or you have been given the missing parts.
Usage of the machine with defective or missing parts
is dangerous and could result in personal injuries.
4.2. MOUNTING
This machine comes mounted and ready for use.
4.3. INSTALLATION
Install the accessory on the engine of the
brush cutter.
5. MACHINE USAGE
Use this machine only for jobs for which it has
been designed. The use of this machine for any other
jobs is dangerous and can cause dangers to the users
and/or to the machine.
5.1. HOW TO HOLD THE MACHINE AND GUIDE IT
WHILST WORKING
Hold the machine with your left hand on the handle and
the other hand in such a position that you can act over
the controls (accelerator and security switch) with
your right hand. If you hold the handles of the machine
firmly, you will reduce significantly the risk of kick
backs and you will increase control of the machine.
Attention! So as to reduce the risk of loss of
control and possible damages (that could be mortal)
to the user or those surrounding him, never use the
machine one handed.
5.2. HEDGE CUTTING
We recommend that you test yourself firstly with
small branches in an easy position so as to get some
experience before starting with more complex cuts.
Always start the hedge cutter before placing the blade
in the cutting area.
Start cutting with the machine at full throttle and
maintain this full throttle during the duration of the
cutting work.
Once the hedge cutter has started, place the machine
in the hedge in a flat position and carry out long fan
like movements. If you tilt the machine in the cutting
direction you will obtain better cutting results.
If, while you cut, the blade blocks, stop the machine
immediately. Before unblocking the blade:
Ensure the machine is fully stopped, the spark plug
disconnected and the blade at a complete standstill.
Check that the temperature of the blade is not
extremely high. If it is, wait a few minutes for the
blade to cool.
