Transporting & Storing the ION
The ION must be drained before transport or
storage. Carefully follow the instructions below:
• Position a bucket or receptacle below drain ports before
unscrewing drain plugs.
• Use Torx 20 screwdriver or Torx 20 wrench provided
behind the filter door to unscrew and remove ice tank
plug located behind filter access door.
• Press hot tank drain extension tube into port in front of
panel behind CO2 access door. Use Torx 20 screwdriver
or wrench and remove hot tank drain plug to begin
draining.
CAUTION: Water from the Hot Tank may cause
burns. Please turn off the Hot Tank and run water until
cool before draining.
• If storing for more than 1–2 weeks, remove Filter
and drain water from Filter. Then store in plastic bag
and refrigerate (DO NOT FREEZE).
CAUTION: For transport in below freezing temperatures.
1. Remove water from cold, hot, ambient, & sparkling
pathways.
2. Remove and store Filter (See above).
