Shutdown Error Overview
SE 0X55 COLD THERMISTOR ERROR
Description: ION does not sense the Thermistor plugged in, or is reading an
internal short in the Thermistor component.
Likely Fix: Check wiring connections or replace Thermistor. Check wire-to-
wire connection in Ice Tank—if water level is above clear shelf and wires are
submerged, disconnect and loop around tubing to keep above water level. Check
for cause of overfill in Ice Tank if present.
SE 0X56 ICE TANK OVER TEMP
Description: ION has run three (3) compressor cycles and Ice Tank Thermistor still
reads temperature higher than 50°F (10°C).
Likely Fix: ION is in a high-ambient environment or sees high usage—disable this
error in Advanced Settings menu if desired. Fan/Condenser may be dirty. Clean
Fan and Condenser if airflow is obstructed.
SE 0X54 HOT TANK FILL ERROR
Description: Hot Tank water volume limit has been reached.
Likely Fix: Check ION for leaks, repair if needed. Restart ION.
SE 0X9F TEMP CALIBRATION ERROR
Description: System has lost temperature calibration.
Likely Fix: Update Software to v2.0. If this does not fix error, recalibrate or
replace control board.
SE 0X95 CARB TANK FILL ERROR
Description: Low level sensor in Carbonation Tank did not sense water after 45
seconds of fill on initial setup, or Fill Error in normal operation was not corrected
after three (3) attempts.*
Likely Fix: Ensure CO2 supply is OFF until after ION fill sequence is complete,
make sure water supply to ION is on, ensure CO2 pressure is set to 60 PSI
(4 BAR).

SE 0X35 HOT TANK THERMISTOR ERROR
Description: ION does not sense the Thermistor plugged in,
or is reading an internal short in the Thermistor component.
Likely Fix: Check wiring connections or replace Thermistor. If
ION was left in conditions under 40°F (4.4°C) , Thermistor
may be too cold to register. Remove Thermistor and warm in
hand.
SE 0X36 HOT TEMP RISE ERROR
Description: ION sensed abnormal temperature rise in Hot
Tank, indicating Heater is active without water present in the
tank.
Likely Fix: Turn Hot ON/OFF switch to OFF, check Hot
Tank Level Probes and harness for short —Heater should not
activate without water level sensed.
SE 0X75 ICE TANK FILL ERROR
Description: Ice Tank water volume limit has been reached.
Likely Fix: Check ION for leaks, repair if needed. Restart
ION.
SE 0X7F FAN FAILURE
Description: ION is sensing internal temperature rise that
indicates the Fan has failed and is not evacuating heat.
Likely Fix: ION is in a high-ambient environment—disable
this error in Advanced Settings menu if desired.
Fan/Condenser may be dirty. Clean Fan and Condenser if
airflow is obstructed.
