Screen lock: Lock the screen with long press, pattern, PIN,

or password (see Personalizing – Protecting Your Phone
With Screen Locks).
Tap beside Screen lock to set the following options.
Automatically lock: Set the time needed for the lock

protection to be activated after the screen turns off. This
option is available when unlock pattern, PIN or
password is set.
Power button instantly locks: Lock protection is

activated immediately when you press the Power/Lock
Key. This option is available when unlock pattern, PIN or
password is set.
Lock screen message: Set the text that you may

display on the lock screen.
Fingerprint: Set up to five fingerprints and use them to

unlock the phone. You can also press the fingerprint sensor
to take a photo, answer incoming call, or open a bound app
when the screen is off or locked. See Personalizing – Using
Your Fingerprint.
Smart Lock: Keep the phone unlocked when connected to

trusted devices, in trusted places, or unlocked by trusted
faces or voice, when recognizing trusted faces or voices, or
while being held or carried.
NOTE: You need to sign in to your Google account on the
phone to use the Smart Lock feature.
