Repeater Mode

Method One: Using WPS button

  1. Switch the mode selector to Repeater position.
  2. Plug RE750 into an electrical outlet near your Wi-Fi router. Power on and wait until the WLAN LED is flashing.
  3. Press and hold RE750's WPS button for 1~2 seconds before release, then press WPS button of your router.
  4. Waiting for them to connect, it may take 2 minutes.
    Method One: Using WPS button
  5. When successful, all of the 3 Wi-Fi LEDs of RE750 should turn on and stay solid. And it will create 2 network names which contains the words of your router's Wi-Fi name and "EXT2G" or "EXT5G", the password is the same as your router's Wi-Fi.
  6. Then plug it to a suitable location(ensure at least 2 Wi-Fi LEDs solid on), no need to configure again.

Method Two: Using Web browser

Power ON

  1. Switch the mode selector to Repeater position.
  2. Plug the Device into an electrical outlet near your Wi-Fi router.
  3. Shift the power switch to ON and wait until Wi-Fi LED is flashing.

Connect to the Device

Wired
Turn off the Wi-Fi on your computer and connect it to the LAN port of Cudy Repeater via an Ethernet cable.

Wireless

  1. Disconnect the Ethernet (Wired) connection if using a laptop or PC.
  2. Connect your device to extender's Wi-Fi Cudy-RE750 or Cudy-RE750-5G.
    Connect to the Device

Configure

  1. Launch a web browser and type http://192.168.10.254/ (or http://ap.setup/) in the address field. Enter admin for password to login.

  2. Below picture will pop up automatically if it is your first time to configure, or you should click Wizard to make it show up.

  3. Select a Wi-Fi SSID of your router (Host Wi-Fi) and enter the password. Either keep the same SSID as your host Wi-Fi or create a new name for the extended network.

  4. Verify your wireless settings and click Connect. The Wi-Fi LEDs should turn on and stay solid, indicating successful connections.

Relocate

Plug the Device halfway between your router(Host Wi-Fi) and the Wi-Fi dead zone. Wait until the Wi-Fi LEDs are ON. If the signal is weak, relocate it closer to the router to achieve better quality.

Note: By default, RE750 will create a network name which contains the words of your router's WiFi name and "EXT2G" or "EXT5G", the password is the same as your router's Wi-Fi.

Router Mode and Access Point Mode

The Device also supports Router/AP Mode which you could also choose the mode that you prefer.


Router Mode
PPPoE Enter the User Name and Password provided by your ISP, these fields are case-sensitive.
Static IP Enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS provided by your ISP.
Dynamic IP The device gets the IP address automatically from your Router or ISP DHCP server.
AP Mode The device gets the IP address automatically from your Router or ISP DHCP server.

Change Login Password

The default password of the device is admin, we strongly recommend you change the default password of the device. 1.Visit http://192.168.10.254/ (or http://ap.setup), and log in with the default password admin.

  1. Click Setup->Login Password.
  2. Enter the old password. Then enter the new password and click Apply.
  3. Use the new password for future login attempts.

Firmware Upgrade

Download the latest firmware file for the device from our website www.cudytech.com.
Note:Never interrupt the upgrade procedure by closing the web browser or physically disconnect your computer from the device.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: What can I do if the login window does not appear?
A1:
If your computer is wirelessly connected, make sure that you have connected to the extender's SSID.
A2: If your computer is connected via an Ethernet cable, please make sure that the connection is stable.
A3: Make sure your computer is set to obtain an IP address and DNS server address automatically.
A4: Verify that http://192.168.10.254/ (or http://ap.setup/) is correctly entered in the web browser and press Enter.
A5: Reset the device and try again.
