AXIS M5065 PTZ Network Camera
About applications
Considerations
Before using the application, consider the following:
The camera's home position is used for removed object detection by default. If you want to set a new customized home
position for detection, see How to set the home position on page 27. We recommend that you name the new position as
Home to replace the default home position with the same name. If you name the new home position something else, the
name will be displayed with (H) at the end, and the default home position will still be called Home.
If the camera moves to a new position during removed object detection, the application stops running. When you access
the application again, it will request you to go back to the home position or set a new home position for it to run again.
How to set an include area
Include areas are the areas that the application monitors for removed objects.
To add an include area:
1. Under Areas, go to the Include tab, and click Add.
2. To enable removed object detection in the area, select Enable.
3. Enter a descriptive name for the area.
4. To specify the relative size of the object compared to the set area, enter a value or move the slider for Object size (%).
Lower values cause the trigger to activate for smaller objects.
5. To enter the desired Shape for the area, click Rectangle or Polygon, and use your mouse to draw the shape to the Live
View. If you use a polygon, double click to join the last corner point to the start point of the polygon.
6. If needed, drag the corners or lines to the desired position to adjust the size and shape of the areas.
7. Select a fill color for the added shape.
8. Click Save.
To reset the Include area settings, click Reset area.
To remove the added include area, select it under the Include tab, and click Remove.
How to set an exclude area
Exclude areas are the areas that the application excludes from removed object monitoring.
To add an exclude area:
1. Under Areas, go to the Exclude tab, and click Add.
2. To exclude removed object detection in the area, select Enable.
3. Enter a descriptive name for the area.
4. To enter the desired Shape for the area, click Rectangle or Polygon, and use your mouse to draw the shape to the Live
View. If you use a polygon, double click to join the last corner point to the start point of the polygon.
5. If needed, drag the corners or lines to the desired position to adjust the size and shape of the areas.
6. Click Save.
