How to dry iron

1. Plug into outlet.
2. Turn the Adjustable Steam Switch to Dry Iron .
3. Turn Temperature Control Dial to desired temperature. Allow 2 minutes to reach desired temperature.
4. Turn Temperature Control Dial to OFF (O) and unplug.

How to steam iron

1. Unplug. Turn Adjustable Steam Switch to Dry Iron . Set iron upright on heel rest.
2. Using a cup, slowly pour tap water into water tank opening until MAX fill line has been reached. Do not fill iron directly from the faucet.
3. Plug into outlet.
4. Turn Temperature Control Dial to desired fabric setting in the steam range.
   
   Burn Hazard:
   Attempting to steam iron on a lower temperature setting or failing to allow the iron to preheat for 4 minutes can result in hot water dripping from the soleplate.
5. Allow 2 minutes to reach desired temperature.
6. Set Adjustable Steam Switch to the desired steam level.
7. Set Adjustable Steam Switch to Dry Iron . Turn the Temperature Control Dial to OFF (O). Unplug.
8. Empty water from the iron following directions in "Care and cleaning."

Water: Please use ordinary tap water. If you have extremely hard water, alternate between tap water and distilled water for use in the iron.

Eye Injury Hazard.
Do not let cord retract freely. Cord may jam on reel or loose cord may whip back and forth and could cause injury.

Vertical Steam

1. Follow Steps 1 through 6 in "How to steam iron."
2. Hang garment in a location that is not susceptible to damage from heat or moisture. Do not hang in front of wallpaper, window, or mirror.
3. Hold iron about 6 inches (15.2 cm) away from garment and press and release Blast Button to steam out wrinkles. Do not press Blast Button more than once every 2 seconds.
4. Turn Temperature Control Dial to OFF (O). Unplug.
5. Empty water from the iron following directions in "Care and cleaning."

NOTE: Do not allow hot soleplate to touch delicate garments.

Care and cleaning

Iron

1. Turn temperature control dial to OFF (O). Unplug and let cool.
2. Drain water and secure cord.
3. Store in an upright position.

Soleplate

1. Never iron over zippers, pins, metal rivets, or snaps since these may scratch the soleplate.
2. To clean buildup on soleplate, wipe with a sudsy cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers or metal scouring pads.
