If you sell or transfer the equipment, be sure to hand over this manual to the new owner. If the manual is lost or damaged, you can request a new one from your Avant dealer or from the manufacturer.
5 (36) Warning symbols used in this manual The following warning symbols are used throughout this manual. They indicate factors that must be taken into account to reduce the risk of personal injury or damage to property: WARNING SAFETY ALERT SYMBOL This symbol means: “Warning, be alert! Your safety is involved!”...
A separate spare parts catalogue may be available, consult your Avant dealer. Familiarise yourself with the manual's instructions regarding service and maintenance. Please contact your AVANT dealer if you have additional questions about the operation or maintenance of the equipment, or if you require spare parts or maintenance services.
7 (36) 3. Safety instructions for using the snow blower Please bear in mind that safety is the result of several factors. The loader-attachment combination is highly powerful and improper or careless use or maintenance may cause serious personal injury or property damage.

8 (36) Pay attention to the surroundings and any other persons and machines moving in the vicinity. Pay attention to the contours of the terrain and other hazards, such as branches and trees that can reach to the driver's area, loose rocks, and slippery surfaces.
9 (36) Risk of crushing - Going under the loader boom or an attachment can cause serious injury or death. Never go under the loader boom and prevent others from getting near DANGER lifted boom or attachment. Going under a raised attachment or loader boom is dangerous, as the boom may lower due to loss of stability, mechanical fault or when other person operates the controls of the loader.
Recommended input of hydraulic 60 l/min energy: Maximum input of hydraulic energy: 70 l/min 22,5 MPa (225 Bar) Other dimensions: See page 2 Compatible AVANT loader models: See table 1 on page 6 Options Electric throwing height adjustment A430172 Frame extensions A425678...
11 (36) 4.1 Safety labels and main components of the attachment Listed below are the labels and markings on the attachment. They must be visible and readable on the equipment. Replace any unclear or missing label. New labels are available via your retailer or contact information provided on the cover.

Do not stay in the area between the attachment and the loader. Mount the attachment only on level surface. WARNING Never move or lift an attachment that has not been locked. Avant quick coupling system: Step 1: Lift the locking pins of the quick coupling plate of the loader up, and turn them backwards into the slot, so that they are locked in the upper position.

If your loader is not listed in Table 1 on page , ask your Avant dealer before using this attachment.
5.1 Connecting and disconnecting hydraulic hoses On Avant loaders the hydraulic hoses are connected using the multi connector system. If you have an older model Avant 300-700 series loader with the conventional quick couplers, and you want to change to the multi connector system, contact your Avant dealer or service point for instructions or installation services.
16 (36) Releasing residual hydraulic pressure: In case residual pressure is left in the hydraulic system of the attachment, it is often possible to disconnect the hydraulic couplings, but it may be difficult to connect them the next time. If the fittings will not connect, the residual pressure must be released by turning the auxiliary hydraulics control lever of the loader, when the engine is turned off.
17 (36) 5.2.1 To connect the electric harness of the attachment to the loader Starting from year 2016, there is an integrated electric plug in the multiconnector of all attachments that have electric functions. However, a separate electric harness is also supplied with the snow blower, to make it possible to connect and use it with loaders that are not equipped with Opticontrol system.
Page 18
18 (36) If your loader is equipped with the Attachment control switch pack, and the loader is manufactured before 2016: There is an electric socket near the multiconnector of the loader. Connect the electric plug of the attachment to the socket of the loader. The separate cable harness A34804 is not needed when the loader is equipped with the Attachment control switch pack.
19 (36) 6. Operating the attachment Check the attachment and the operating environment once more before starting to work, and that all obstacles have been removed from the operating area. Quick inspection of the equipment and the operating area before use are parts of ensuring safety and the best performance of the equipment.
20 (36) 6.1 Safety distance Hazard of thrown objects - Keep bystanders away. Note that the attachment can throw stones, gravel, or other objects found in the area at high speed. Always keep a safety WARNING distance of at least 2 metres to other persons. The minimum safety distance of the attachment is 2 metres from the machine.
The road traffic light kit on a loader by itself does not guarantee that it is safe or legal to use the equipment on public road areas. Contact your Avant dealer or relevant local authority for information about requirements concerning the use of loaders on public roads.
22 (36) 6.5 Use Using the snow blower: Set the attachment to working position. The snow blower works in the most efficient way, when it is tilted slightly forward, or when it is kept lightly on the ground in upright position, as shown in figure below.
Page 23
The attachment will start immediately after the blockage is cleared. If the snow blower stops during use, stop it by following the safe stopping procedure and check for blockages. Contact service to check the operation of the system if necessary. Adjusting the hydraulic system of the attachment is allowed only for authorized Avant service.
24 (36) 6.6 Using the electric functions of the snow blower Controlling the discharge chute with separate electric harness: A cable harness with a 2-way switch is delivered with the attachment. Hold the switch towards either direction to turn the discharge chute. This separate electric harness with a switch can be used only to control the electric chute rotation.
25 (36) 6.6.1 Discharge chute rotation The electric discharge chute can be used when the ignition key of the loader is turned to switch on the electric outlet of the loader. The chute will rotate 270°. Turning directly towards the loader is blocked. Make sure that the chute is directed to safe direction at all times.
26 (36) 6.7 Scraper plate and skids Adjust the scraper plate (1) and side skids (2) shown in the adjacent figures so, that the snow blower runs smoothly on the surface without the frame touching the ground. The side skids (2) can be adjusted by setting them to the desired height parallel on both sides.
27 (36) 6.8 Frame extensions (Option) Frame extensions A452678 are available for both 1150 and 1500 snow blowers. The frame extensions are intended for increasing the working width. Mounting holes available in the blower's frame on snow blowers manufactured in 2023 or later. Install the frame extensions as follows: 1.
28 (36) 6.9 Removing a blockage Clogging of the feed auger is in most cases caused by drive speed. If the auger can’t throw the snow fast enough, drive speed must be reduced. Clogging of the discharge chute is also affected by the type of snow in addition to hydraulic oil flow (loader engine rpm).
29 (36) 6.10 Transport position Risk of tipping over - Keep the loader stable. Always transport the attachment as low and close to the CAUTION ground as possible. Keep the telescopic boom retracted during transport drive. 6.11 Storing the attachment Uncouple and store the snow blower on level surface so, that it will stand firmly on its two standing supports under the attachment.
Finding any fault means that the hydraulic hose or component must be replaced and the equipment must not be used until it is repaired. Spare parts are available from your nearest AVANT retailer or authorised service point. Leave the repair work to professional service technicians, if you don’t have adequate knowledge and...
In case of vibrations, clean and defrost the parts from ice and packed snow. Unbalanced components may lead to the failure of the hydraulic motors or bearings. If the parts are damaged or the vibration continues after cleaning the parts, contact your nearest AVANT service. 7.5 Discharge chute rotation The gear rim of the discharge chute can be oiled slightly without opening the structure.
32 (36) 7.6 Lubrication A small amount of lubricant should be added to the lubrication point at the bearing regularly. Correct lubrication interval depends heavily on operating conditions but lubricant must be added at least after every 10 hours of use. Clean the end of the nipple before greasing and add only a small amount of grease at a time.
33 (36) 8. Warranty terms Avant Tecno Oy grants a warranty of one year (12 months) from the date of purchase for the attachment it manufactures. The warranty covers repair costs as follows: Work costs are covered, if the repair is not performed at the factory.
