Adjusting the Airfl ow Direction
CAUTION
•
Do not try to adjust the fl ap by hand.
If the fl ap is adjusted by hand, the mechanism may not operate properly or condensation may drip from the air outlet. If the fl ap is adjusted
without using the remote controller, turn off the unit once, and use the remote controller to restart the unit.
•
Be careful when adjusting the louvers. Inside the air outlet, a fan is rotating at a high speed.
•
While the outdoor unit is not in operation because the indoor temperature becomes higher (or lower) than the set temperature, the fl ap will
come to a stop.
NOTE
Note on fl ap and louvers angle
•
Unless "SWING" is selected, you should set the fl ap at a near-horizontal angle in FAN or HEAT
operation and at a upward position in COOL or DRY operation to obtain the best performance.

Adjusting the upper and lower airfl ow direction
To adjust the fl ap (horizontal blade)
1.
Press
" • " is displayed on the LCD and the fl ap will begin to swing.

When the fl ap has reached the desired position,
press
• The fl ap will stop moving.

Adjusting the right and left airfl ow direction
To adjust the louvers (vertical blades)
Hold the knob and move the louvers.
(You will fi nd a knob on the left-side and the right-side blades.)
