1. INTRODUCTION

Modular audio matrix with IP connection and monitoring functions for fully managing PA and voice alarm systems. It is the main
component of the COMPACT control system.
Incorporates a UMX-C16 card inserted in slot 1 (16 input contacts and 4 output contacts) and a UMX-EA3 card in slot 2 (card with 2
audio inputs). The 8 remaining slots are available for inserting cards UMX-C16, UMX-EA3, UMX-2M3, UMX-2SA, UMX-2SB,
UMX-MC6 or UMX-LNK.
The capacity of the matrix may be expanded using COMPACT-E units (10 slots per unit) up to a maximum of 10 units. The
COMPACT-E units allow housing cards UMX-2SA, UMX-2SB, UMX-MC6, UMX-C16 or UMX-LNK/E.
Includes the connections, monitoring system and indicators required for complying with regulation EN54-16 regarding fire
evacuation.
Main characteristics:
Dual Ethernet connection for installations with redundant
network systems. The connection is constantly monitored
and switches automatically when required.
It is equipped with two power supplies (one primary and
one secondary) for redundant installations.
Front USB input for music.
Two analogue audio inputs that are configurable for
music or announcements (voice activated or PTT).
CAN bus for communicating with the COMPACT-E matrix
and peripherals.
Reception of digital audio via an IP connection (4 simulta-
neous channels).
Reception and sending of control data via an IP connec-
tion.
Monitoring of the operation of the equipment using Call
Point software and/or basic TELNET or SSH (Secure Shell)
functions.
Configuration of the IP address in Flash memory via soft-
ware.
Constant notification (IP) of the status of the equipment
via a Heart Beat signal.

COMPACT
Incorporates an internal Micro SD memory with a capaci-
ty of 15 GB to store audio files to be used as pre-recorded
messages. These messages can be recorded / updated
remotely via IP, using the Call Point software.

- VoIP: receiving of direct calls from any VoIP digital

Incorporates zone selection by sending DTMF tones.
Provides the possibility of protecting the access with a
password.

Allows housing module ME-200B (front evacuation
panel).
