HJA7040 microwave not working but grill does. The LED clock display has the clock sign top right at the side on, should this be on? In the instructions for setting the time it looks like it should go off when setting the time is complete.The microwave was fitted by Howdens in our local Community Centre

    USING YOUR MICROWAVE Setting the clock When your microwave is connected to the power supply, you can set the clock to the correct time of day. Press the clock button (9) to enter the time setting mode. The hour digits will flash. Use the plus (2) and minus (5 buttons to set the current hour.

    Safety lock When the microwave is not heating, it is possible to switch on the safety lock. Press and hold the stop / clear button (3) for 3 seconds until the LCD display shows the word “OFF”. To switch off the safety lock, press and hold down the stop / clear button until the colon reappears on the LCD display.
