GETTING STARTED

INSERTING BATTERIES
Your defi ner requires 1 'AA' alkaline battery (fi rst one included).
We recommend that you use VARTA ®
Make sure the product is turned off.
Rotate the battery compartment cap approximately 1/4 turn
then pull off (Diagram 1).
Insert 1 "AA" alkaline battery, so that the (+) and (-) marks on
the battery face the same mark in the battery compartment.
Place cap back on unit using the alignment marks and rotate
clockwise until the cap snaps into place.
NOTE: Your defi ner will not work if the batteries are inserted
incorrectly.
NOTE: Remove batteries if the unit is not in use for long
periods.
EXCHANGING THE ATTACHMENTS
Ensure that the product is switched off.
Remove the head by turning it anti-clockwise and pull off.
Attach the other head by placing it on the top of the unit and
turning it clockwise to lock into position.
