DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 1 Product description The DA 820 components are used for extracting air from livestock houses. The DA 820 is aerodynamic and pro- vides high air output with low energy consumption. TheDA 820 is made of a special polypropylene material, which withstands heavy high-pressure cleaning The special polypropylene is smooth and anti-soiling and DA 820 is thus easy to clean.
Supplied with mounting set. 434612 DA 820 roof cap ø1400 with net, gray 434613 DA 820 roof cap ø1400 with net, black The roof cap with net prevents birds from entering the house and reduces water penetration problems, but please note that the chimney output will also be reduced.

DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.4 Mounting the duct Assemble the duct by applying slight pressure in order to engage the labyrinth joint. When several subsequent ducts are mounted, the longi- tudinal joint must be offset one quarter of a turn so that the ducts retain their round shape.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet Mount the shortened part on the other duct using eight 6 × 23 mm screws. 3.5 Mounting the outlet cone and roof duct Turn the outlet cone so that the click joints are opposite each other; then press the items firmly together until a click is heard.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.7 Mounting roof sheet 3.7.1 Roofing sheet in a corrugated roofing sheet construction Remove a roofing sheet, which completely or partly matches the chimney roofing sheet and detach the over- lying sheet. Place the roofing sheet and check if there is sufficient passage for the duct at measurement D.

DA 820 chimney/wall outlet Mount the flat roofing sheet using screws. Complete the jointing of the flat roofing sheet using joint sealer. Make sure that the crests of corrugation at the top and bottom are closed with joint sealer. 3.8.1 Flat roofing sheet in a corrugated steel plate construction, ridge The roof duct requires a minimum of 832 mm space be- tween the rafters.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.8.2 Flat roofing sheet in a corrugated steel plate construction, side The roof duct requires a minimum of 832 mm space be- tween the rafters. Drill through the roofing sheet at the bottom of the lath the flat roofing sheet is to be mounted on.
Page 29
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet Slide the flat roofing sheet in between the laths and cor- rugated steel plate. Now push the roof duct so it reaches the corrugated steel plate. Make joints on the sides. Secure the roofing sheet at the sides.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet Secure the flat roofing sheet at the top and bottom. Seal the sides at the top. Cut away any lath that may be obstructing the roof duct. 3.8.3 Check if the top is level Check whether the top level is horizontal. Use a spirit level.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet Mount the duct part so that the direction of the pins (A) on the bottom duct are longitudinal and cross-wise in the house and not 45° sideways, as this will prevent the bell mouth and swivel shutter from being mounted correctly.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.11 Mounting roof cap Drill Ø7 mm holes in the roof cap/light tray according to the punch dots. Mount eight holders for roof cap with screws, washers and nuts. Mount holder for roof cap in roof duct with eight screws.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.12.2 Outlet cone and roof duct on outside duct Lower the outlet cone and roof duct down through the duct. Turn the outlet cone and roofing sheet so that the direc- tion of the rib (A) is longitudinal and cross-wise in the house and not 45°...
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.12.4 Mounting storm protection kit on roof duct with outside duct Always mount storm protection if more than two ducts are mounted above the roofing sheet. 1. Drill four Ø8.5 mm holes between ribs in the roof duct. Mount eye screws and washers on the outside.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.13 Long chimney, single layer 3.13.1 Shortening of roof ducts Measure 137 mm downwards. Shortening roof duct. 3.13.2 Mounting the duct in roof duct Saw off 30 mm of the joint and saw off the four screw towers.
Page 36
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet Push down the duct, so it is supported on the eight ribs in the roof duct. Use a spirit level to make sure it is level. Measure 7 mm up in the duct and place nine screws in the duct and roof duct.

Be careful not to tighten the screws too much. The fan blades of the DA 820 fan must turn downward. Position the legs of the fan in the four fan suspensions. Fasten all four fan supports using cable ties around the fan suspension and rubber suspension.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.15.2 Mounting air direction baffles Only mount air direction baffles on the units running stepless. Use 6 x 23 mm screws screwed in at the punch dots. Cut off the spacers on air directions baffle when it is mounted.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.17 Foaming and sealing of the duct unit Foam the duct unit to ensure insulation. Finally, finish the sealing to ensure a clean finish, which does not give rise to moisture and is easier to clean.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.19 Mounting the light tray The light tray is suspended by three steel bands. Drill three Ø6.5 mm holes in bell mouth, the position of the holes is marked on the surface. Mount screws and washers.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.21 Mounting the drip tray The max. load of the drip tray is 30 liters. Drill eight Ø6.5mm holes in the base for overflow. The drip tray is suspended by six chains. Drill six Ø6.5 mm holes in the punch marks between the ribs in the drip tray.
DA 820 chimney/wall outlet 3.22 Wall exhaustion Wall exhaustion is used for air outlets from the livestock house through the exhaust unit by using a fan and swivel shutter placed in the wall. 3.22.1 Mounting screws in sandwich panel Use tapping screw 5x16 flange when mounting on sandwich panels.

Mount the four fan suspensions using 6 x 23 screws in the marked positions. Be careful not to over-tighten the screws. DA 820 fan must face the fan blades inward. Position the legs of the fan in the four fan suspension units.
Check before foaming how much the foam expands. Foam the hole from the outside. SKOV A/S recommends Sikaflex 111 Stick & Seal. When the foam is dry, finish with a sealing edge. Mount the wall cover both internally and externally. For mounting of sandwich panel see section Mounting screws in sandwich panel [} 45].
3.22.4 Mounting wall exhaustion onto a box Mount the wall exhaustion onto a box to prevent it from reaching into the livestock house. The box is not supplied by SKOV A/S. Make a box with internal dimensions of 1170 x 1170 The box must be at least 320 mm deep due to the shut- ter.
