TIC TAC TOE RULES
Target
Foul Line
15 ft. - 25 ft.
Object of the Game
Players take turns throwing washers at the grid boxes on a target board. The winner is the first player who has three washers in a row
either horizontally, vertically or diagonally!
How to Play
This game can be played with 2 players (singles) or 4 players (doubles).
Set the target box at a distance of 15 ft. to 25 ft. depending on age and abilities of the players.
Toss a coin to determine which player or team throws first. Players then stand behind the foul line and toss the washers onto the grid
box target. Then, the opponent throws a washer. Players or teams continue alternating throws until all washers have been thrown. Any
"foul" washers or washers not on a grid box are removed and thrown again in round two.
Play continues until either:
(a) one player/team has three in a row; or
(b) all nine squares are filled.
Washers that land onto a grid box "own" the box and remain there until the game is over. Remove any washers that end up on the same
box. Throws that hit the ground, hit tree branches, or hit any other obstacles are deemed a foul.
Winning
• If a player or team has placed three washers in a row, either horizontally, vertically or diagonally, that player/team wins.
• If all nine squares are filled and neither player/team has three in a row, the game is a draw.
