Access Policy
D-Link switches support 802.1X authentication, MAC authentication and port security to prevent unauthorized client from ac-
cessing the network. Navigate to Configuration > Profile Setting > Site > Network > Switch > Your Device > Access Policy
to configure the settings.
In the Policy Name field, enter a name for the policy. In the Remote RADIUS Server section, specify up to 3 RADIUS Servers
for the switches to forward access requests. Authentication requests will be processed by each of the RADIUS servers in the or-
der that they are submitted. Click Select to select existing RADIUS servers created via the RADIUS Server page. A pop window
will be presented to confirm your selection. Click OK to confirm, or Cancel to close the window.
Once the RADIUS Servers is selected, a summary of the RADIUS servers will be listed in the table. In the Action field, click
to
move the entry up, click
to move the entry down. Click
to delete the entry.
In the Access Policy Type field, select 802.1x Port Based. This will allow only one user to be authenticated per port by a re-
mote RADIUS server.
In the Guest VLAN field, specify a guest VLAN ID or disable it from the drop-down menu. The VLAN ID range is 1 to 4094. One
switch only supports one Guest VLAN. When a VLAN ID is selected, the member port information will be presented. Click the
number to be directed to the Port Settings page
In the Switch Ports field, the number of switch ports that's applying to the policy is listed. Click the numbers to be directed to
the Port Settings page.
