7 CLEARANCES TO HEAT-SENSITIVE MATERIALS

It is of outmost importance that the clearances to heat-sensitive materials are carefully
maintained upon the installation of the wood fire you have selected. Refer to the tables below.
No part of the wood fire or flue may be located closer to the combustible than the minimum
clearance figures given.

7.1 LOCATION OF THE CERTIFICATION LABEL

Since the information given on the certification label affixed to the appliance always overrides the
information published, in any other media (owner's manual, catalogues, flyers, magazines or web
sites) it is important to refer to it in order to have a safe and compliant installation. In addition,
you will find information about your wood fire (model, serial number, etc.). You can find the
certification label on the back of the wood fire.

7.2 CLEARANCES TO WALLS AND CEILING

WHERE THE FLUE PASSES THROUGH A WALL, CEILING, FLOOR OR ROOFS, VENTILATED DOUBLE
FLUE-WOOD FIRE CASINGS MUST BE USED AROUND THE FLUE, ALONG WITH CEILING PLATES AS
SPECIFIED IN AS/NZS 2918:2001. THE CASING SHALL PASS THROUGH THE ENTIRE THICKNESS OF
