Troubleshooting Check
Before contacting a service centre, perform the following simple checks.
They might save you the time and expense of an unnecessary call.

Self Diagnosis Display

Display Blinking Inform that...
slow the battery pack is almost
discharged.
fast the battery pack is fully
discharged.
the tape has almost reached
TAPE END slow
its end.
TAPE END no the tape reached its end.
TAPE slow there is no tape in the camcorder.
the tape is protected
TAPE slow
from recording.
D.EMG slow the camcorder has some
C.EMG mechanical fault.
R.EMG
L.EMG
moisture condensation
DEW slow
has formed in the camcorder.

Action
Exchange it with a charged
one.
Exchange it with a charged
one.
Prepare a new one.
Change to a new one.
Insert a tape.
Check the red tab on the tape
is not pushed over the hole.
1. Eject the tape.
2. Set to OFF.
3. Detach the battery.
4. Reattach the battery.
