Checking the Oil Level

DANGER
Air/oil under pressure will cause severe
personal injury or death.
 Shut down the compressor, relieve the
system of all pressure, disconnect,
lockout and tagout the power supply to
the compressor package before
removing valves, caps, plugs, fittings,
bolts and filters.

Check the oil level as follows:

Shut off the compressor with the STOP button.

Wait at least 5 minutes until the oil has settled, i.e.
until the air has bubbled out.

The oil level should be checked at each pause in
operation and at regular intervals using the oil
level gauge on the pressure reservoir (-2- Fig.
14).

The oil level must lie between the "maximum oil
level" (-3- Fig. 14) and "minimum oil level"
(-4- Fig. 14) marks on the oil gauge.

If required, top up oil. Use Gardner Denver oil only.

Close the oil filler cap (-1- Fig. 14) firmly.
