In normal (static) freezers, the humidity entering the freezers due to opening the door and the humidity inherent in the food causes ice to form in the freezer compartment. Cleaning and Maintenance Cleaning • Clean regularly surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems. Defrosting the freezer (Fig. 6.1) Fig. 6.1 Your appliance performs automatic defrosting. The water formed as a result of defrosting passes through the water collection spout, flows into the vaporisation container behind your appliance and evaporates there. Make sure you have disconnected the plug of your appliance before cleaning the vaporisation container.

Door reversal On no account try and move the appliance while it is plugged into the electricity supply. The appliance is very heavy, so take great care. We recommend that two people manoeuvre the appliance. Make sure that the floor covering is firmly fixed, or removed, to prevent it being disturbed when moving the appliance around.
