4. Safety instructions for screwdrivers
WARNING! Hold the tool by the insulated gripping surfaces when carrying out work where the screw may hit
hidden power lines. Contact of the screw with a live line may also energise metal parts of the tool and result in
electric shock.
5. Extended safety instructions
Do not use a damaged or modified battery. Damaged or altered batteries may behave unpredictably and cause fire,
explosion or injury. Do not expose a battery to fire or excessive temperatures. Fire or temperatures above 265°F
(130°C) may cause an explosion. Follow all instructions for charging and never charge the battery or battery tool
outside the temperature range specified in the operating instructions. Incorrect charging or charging outside the
approved temperature range can destroy the battery and increase the risk of fire. 6.
6. Safety instructions for cutting attachment
WARNING! Do not put your hands in the cutting area or on the cutting blade. Before working on the appliance,
make sure that the direction of rotation switch is in the middle position. This prevents it from being switched on
unintentionally. Only cut with the protective bonnet in good working order. Defective protective bonnets do not
protect you from unintentional contact with the cutting blade. Before each use, check that the protective bonnet is
in perfect condition and that the cutting blade is tightened. Always use cutting blades of the correct size and with
a matching mounting hole.
7. Safety instructions for chargers
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision. The charger
is only suitable for indoor use. If replacement of the connecting cable is necessary, this must be carried out by the
manufacturer or his representative in order to avoid safety hazards.
8. Explanation of signs
Pay attention to all signs and symbols that appear in this manual and on your tool. Memorise these signs and
symbols. If you interpret the signs and symbols correctly, you will be able to work safer and better with the tool.
