HOW TO APPLY YOUR
GAIT BELT

Applying gait belt with metal buckle

Items: PA-1034, PA-1035, PA-1036, PA-1037

Wrap the belt around the user's
waist with the teeth of the buckle
facing outward. Insert the metal tip
of the belt through the buckle and
over the teeth.

Applying gait belt with plastic buckle

Items: PA-1038, PA-1039, PA-1040, PA-1041

To release buckle, squeeze buckle
buttons. Wrap the belt around the
user's waist, and snap buckle ends
together to close.

Applying heavy duty gait belt

Items: PA-1031, PA-1032, PA-1033

Wrap the belt around the user's waist with metal loop
facing forward. Pass the velcro belt through the loop
and pull snug but not uncomfortable for the user. An
open hand should fit between the belt and the user if
adjusted correctly.

Firmly hold the plastic buckle and
pull the end of the belt with the
metal tip to tighten. Adjust to user's
comfort level.

Attach the velcro strap to the opposing velcro on the
belt. Be sure the strap goes under the handhold. Test
strap to make sure it securely holds before using.

Tuck the excess under the belt and
test buckle to make sure it securely
holds before using. ALWAYS grasp
the gait belt from underneath.
