Parking the vehicle
Stop the vehicle completely.
STEP 1
Set the parking brake. (→P. 257)
STEP 2
Shift the shift position to P. (→P. 250)
STEP 3
Check that the shift position indicator shows P. (→P. 247)
Press the "POWER" switch to stop the hybrid system.
STEP 4
Slowly release the brake pedal.
STEP 5
Lock the door, making sure that you have the electronic key
STEP 6
on your person.
When parking on a hill, block the wheels as needed.
Starting off on a uphill
Firmly set the parking brake with the brake pedal depressed,
STEP 1
and then shift the shift position to D.
Release the brake pedal and gently depress the accelerator
STEP 2
pedal.
Release the parking brake.
