Fresh Water Tanks and Draining

Drain Valves

Under the trailer are galvanized steel boxes that are a
few inches lower than the trailer frame. These boxes
are insulated exterior tank pans and they support the
freshwater and holding tanks. Petcocks open with a 1/4
turn� The 16RB Model has drain valves which are open
when the handle aligns with the water line�

Drain Valve Locations

The 16-ft. Rear Bed model has two drain valves
located under the roadside dinette seat� Remove the
cushions to access a removable panel in the dinette
seat top. There are also two drain valves on the fresh
water tank, behind the dump valve�
The 19-ft. Corner Bed valves are located in the rear
access compartment, through the rear access door�
The 20-ft. Front Bed model has two drain valves that
are located under the front dinette seat. Remove the
cushions to access a removable panel in the dinette
seat top� There are also two drains located in the
exterior rear access compartment
The 22-ft. Front Bed valves are located under the bed
on the roadside� Access is provided by an access
door cut in the bed top� Two other low point valves
are located under the wardrobe� Access is gained by
removing the felt covered lower wardrobe shelf.

Fresh Water Tank Draining

Pumping the water out with the self-contained water
pump can empty the fresh water tank. Simply turn on
the pump switch and open a couple of faucets until the
water will no longer drain out, or on all models use the
petcock-type drain valve located on the freshwater tank
pan. Be sure to watch closely and turn the pump off
when the tank runs dry�
CAUTION
Do not let the pump run dry for extended periods of
time as this could damage the pump.

Water Heater Draining

All models have a drain plug or petcock on the water
heater. Access is from the exterior. The plug or valve is
usually located in the lower-left corner, viewed as you
face the exterior of the water heater.

Water Heater Bypass Valve

2� Bypass Valve
If valve is in-line with water line, turn bypass valve
clockwise to close�
Water Heater Bypass Valve Locations
16-ft. Rear Bed model is under the roadside wardrobe
behind a removable panel� Turn both valves clockwise
so that they face each other to bypass.
19-ft. Corner Bed model is accessed through a
removable panel under the mattress on the bed top�
