Make sure that the power Switch is in the off-position and unplug the tool from
its electrical outlet before performing any procedure in this section.
changing the collet
note: This tool includes a 1/8", a 5/32", and a
1/4" Collet. Install the Collet that matches the
shank size of the Cutting Bit to be used.
1. Unplug the Tool from the electrical outlet.
2. To change collets, loosen the Depth Adjustment
Knob and remove the Depth Guide.
3. Press the Spindle Lock in to keep
the Spindle from turning.
4. Using a wrench (not included), loosen the
Collet Nut by turning counterclockwise.
5. Unscrew the Collet Nut and remove it.

Use only cutting bits of the correct shank
diameter for the collet mounted. Use only cutting
bits suitable for the speed of the tool.

Carefully inspect cutting bits for cracks, chips, or
other damage before installing. Do not use bits
that have been dropped, cracked, or damaged.
The bit may shatter causing serious injury.
1. Loosen the Depth Adjustment Knob
and remove the Depth Guide.
2. Press and hold the Spindle Lock in to
keep the Spindle from turning.
3. Using a included Wrench, loosen the Collet Nut
by turning counterclockwise, but do not remove.

6. Remove the Collet and replace with the correct
size Collet for the Cutting Bit to be used.
7. Replace the Collet Nut and finger‑tighten.
Proceed to Installing the Cutting Bit below.
4. Insert shank end of bit (sold separately) into
Collet as far as it will go, then pull up slightly so
there is a minimum 1/16" gap at bottom of bit.
5. While holding in the Spindle Lock,
tighten the Collet Nut with Wrench.
6. Replace the Depth Guide and tighten
the Depth Adjustment Knob.
