IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE NI-MH BATTERIES OF THIS UNIT
To obtain and maintain the longest battery autonomy possible, allow it to charge for 16 hours before using it for the first time and then approximately every three months. Full autonomy of the unit will only be obtained after three complete recharge cycles.

CHARGING THE CLIPPER

1. Plug the cord into the unit and connect the adaptor. Before using the clipper for the first time, allow it to charge for 16 hours. Make sure the clipper's switch is in the OFF position.
2. Check that the charging indicator light is lit.
3. A full charge provides up to 30 minutes of use of the clipper.
4. Subsequent charges should be 8 hours.

MAINS USE

Connect the transformer into the mains, wait 1 minute and then switch into the ON position.

Use only the adaptor provided with the clipper.

USING THE CUTTING GUIDES

This appliance is supplied with 8 comb guides. To attach a comb guide and to remove it, ensure the appliance is switched off.

• Position the comb guide over the front of the clipper blade and slide over the head. Push and click the rear of the comb guide into position. (Fig. 1)
  
• Push the tab on the rear of the comb guide away from the head and lift off. (Fig. 2)
  

Taper Control

The taper control enables fine cut adjustment for precision clipping.

• To increase the cutting length, push the lever down.
• To reduce the cutting length, push the lever up.

MAINTENANCE

Cleaning the clipper blades regularly will maintain their optimal performance.

• Remove the comb guide after use. Rinse it under running water and dry it thoroughly before storage or use.
• Carefully clean the blades using the cleaning brush and the cleaning hook to remove hair.
• Switch the appliance on and carefully apply a few drops of the BaByliss lubricating oil onto the blades. Wait a few seconds then switch off the clipper and wipe the excess oil using a dry cloth.

Make sure to exclusively use the lubricating oil supplied as it is specifically formulated for this type of appliance and does not evaporate nor slow the blades.
