SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R 1. INTRODUCTION Dear Customer, Thank you for purchasing your Soil Cultivator Cultivion. Properly used and maintained, this equipment will give you years of satisfaction. Warning Your machine contains numerous recoverable or recyclable materials. Return it to your dealer or, failing this, to an approved servicing centre to be treated.
2. SAFETY 2.1. INTENDED USAGE • The Cultivion is a tool for working in soil only. It is used for weeding, aerating, cultivating and mixing fertiliser with the soil. • The Cultivion can also be used to dig furrows using the appropriate work tool attachment (ref. 83849).

Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention when using a power tool can result in serious personal injury.
58_80347-R 2.2.7. TOOL’S END OF LIFE MANAGEMENT When the tool reaches the end of its life, PELLENC keeps the end of life sheet of the equipment at disposal. 58_80347-R 2.7. GOOD PRACTICES FOR SAFE WORKING • Always hold the rear handle of the Cultivion with your right hand, and the front handle with your left hand. • Keep your left arm straight for better control. • Use PELLENC working tools.

SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R 4. COMMISSIONING Caution Before any maintenance intervention on the tool: Check that the battery is turned off. Depending on the battery model, turn off either via the push button or via the on/off switch (stop position is "0") located on the battery.
SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R 4.2. FITTING THE TOOL HEAD Caution Always wear protective gloves when handling the tool. 4.2.1. MOUNTING THE BLADE ASSEMBLY Insert the two nuts (15) in the spaces provided in the mounting part (16). Position the weeding blade (10) on the mounting part (16).
SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R 4.2.2. FITTING THE BLADE MOUNTING ASSEMBLY ONTO THE TOOL Once fitted together, position the blade mounting as- sembly (9) on the shaft (18), aligning the mark on the mounting part (16) with the "0" mark on the head casing(19).
SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R 4.3. FITTING THE BATTERY ON THE HARNESS To mount the battery on your harness, refer to the mounting instructions provided with your harness. Important After mounting, the battery must be solidly attached and secured on your harness. If this is not the case then the mounting needs to be re-checked.
SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R 4.5. CONNECTING PELLENC BATTERIES TO THE TOOL Important Always check the remaining battery-life before use. If necessary, recharge the battery using the charger. To prolong the life of the connectors, it is advisable to protect them when they are disconnected. Avoid leaving the connectors in contact with abrasive or dirty surfaces, or subjecting them to major impacts (falls).
SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R 4.5.2. 750 / 1200 / 1500 ULIB BATTERIES Make sure that the battery is correctly fitted on the harness, see Section 4.3, “Fitting the battery on the harness”. Ensure that the quick connector (23) is properly con- nected to the battery.

Hold the tool by the rear handle (1) and the front handle (6). Be sure to check that the tool is not touching any- thing. The Cultivion is in ‘start’ position. Important Do not work anywhere other than in soil. Never disconnect the battery cable without checking that the battery switch is at 0.
Release the drive trigger (4) to stop the tool. 5.5. START-UP IN CONTINUOUS MODE The Cultivion has a continuous mode which allows the user to work with the tool at constant speed without having to keep the trigger pressed. For improved stability hold the machine in its oper- ating position, with the tool attachment held off the ground.

SOIL CULTIVATOR CULTIVION 58_80347-R Keep the drive trigger (4) pressed. While holding down the activation trigger (4), turn on the battery. Wait until the On.Off LEDs (3) light up on the Cul- tivion, and release the drive trigger (4). The tool is now ‘On’ and ready to operate in “con- tinuous”...
Always start the motor before bringing the tool head into contact with the ground. Note Let the Cultivion do the work by drawing it towards you without over-forcing. 5.6. SPEED SELECTOR Your Cultivion has a speed selector (2) on the rear han- dle.
