Determining the Installation Position
When connecting a cable to an indoor AP, install the S890H near the AP. The
S890H should be installed on a ceiling buckle tile or at least 2.5 m above the floor,
and should be at least 10 cm away from the AP edge and side wall. Do not install
it directly above an AP.
Installing the S890H
Step 1 When installing an indoor AP, secure the sheet metal mounting bracket, drill holes
near the mounting bracket, and route cables.

● Before installing the device, ensure that the following tools are available: ESD wrist
strap, ESD gloves, and ESD bag. For details about the tools required for installing an AP,
see the AP installation guide.
● If an optical port is exposed to air for a long time, the performance of the device
deteriorates. Therefore, connect a fiber to the optical port within 20 minutes after
removing the dustproof cap.
● The optical port of the S890H supports SC/UPC connectors.
● The S890H needs to work with the remote S1016 power module and Wi-Fi 6 AP. When
one end of the S890H is connected to a photoelectric composite cable, the S890H is not
running by default. The S890H can be started only after the XGE port is connected to a
network cable and the other end of the network cable is connected to an AP. For details
