    1 Introduction Introduction The DN Series™ check deposit module (Figure 1-1 and Figure 1-2) accepts a stack of up to 30 docu- ments and provides MICR data and image of each document to the banking network. Documents can be inserted face up or face down, with the short edge first.

    Using the green tab, lift up the cover of the exception bin (Figure 3-2). Remove any documents. Close the cover of the exception bin. Lock the exception bin.     Insert the locating pins of the new printer cartridge (Figure 3-9), print end first, into the holder holes. Snap the cartridge into place. Make sure the printhead is firmly seated.   • Page 22 Observe the following storage specifications to ensure that the print cartridge survives under brief expo- sure to extreme conditions. Once it is returned to the operating environment, the print cartridge should function normally. Diebold Nixdorf recommends storing the cartridge at room temperature, if possible. NOTE Exposure to higher or lower temperatures, or longer exposure times near these lim- its, reduces the reliability of the print cartridge.
