The energy emitted from the end of the light guide can heat any surface that it is directed at. Care must be taken to determine the proper offset distance and exposure time. Caution! Turning the lamp on and off frequently will cause the UV output of the lamp to decline at a faster rate.

6. Care and Maintenance Notice: It is recommended that the UV output from the lamp be monitored regularly using a ® Loctite 98720 UV Spot Radiometer P/N: 1079258. If a radiometer is not used to monitor the lamp, it is recommended that the lamp be replaced when the hour meter, located on the front panel, indicates 1,000 hours of operating time has elapsed.
