  • Page 3 Expanding the Ma�ress Pla�orm The four-sec�on, fully profiling ma�ress pla�orm can be extended from 900mm to 1200mm (36” to 48”) providing flexible care op�ons for pa�ents. 36” wide 48” wide 42” wide To extend the ma�ress pla�orm 1. Locate the locking pin underneath the ma�ress pla�orm that you wish to extend and release.

  • Page 5 Expanding the ma�ress using foam inserts Width adjustment is achieved using two 152mm (6”) foam inserts, placed either side of the ma�ress. The extension pieces are kept securely in place through D-ring style straps and a Dartex box sheet. Once the foam inserts have been placed on either side of the ma�ress, a 1220mm (48”) fi�ed sheet is placed over the ma�ress.
